no fixed abode

original and traditional folk music

Hi all,

Here we are putting together quotes and comments about our new album Clearwater. It may not make a lot of sence yet, we will eventualy edit these comments down but for now you can see the whole quotes.

Hi guys,  the songs I've played have recieved a very good or better rating  according to my stats over the last month or so.

Your songs are great to mix with, the songs fit together perfectly with the traditional folk-rock bands of the 60's & 70's plus todays artists as well.

The CD is great, and I love Kebabs (donner) I think, that one particular nutter song reminds of how I like them. There's enough in a large to feed a small army in this place where I get them from in Normanby when I'm over.

Hope the CD is doing well.

No Fixed Abode is a great name for a band, although it could just as well
apply to the impossibility of placing their music in a specific genre. There
are elements of Folk, Rock, Jazz and other styles all mashed in together -
read their own description for a clearer picture! Mondo Blu Radio is proud
to have no less than 9 of the tracks from "Clearwater" on rotation and would
happily recommend this CD to anyone looking for a fresh sound and basically
a solid, fun CD!

In today's non stop production line music industry it's great to find artists who truly love what they are doing. No pretense, no fashion statement, no music by numbers, No Fixed Abode will always have a home in my CD collection.

My God,
could anyone have written a more beautiful song with the title, "Keban
Crazed Nutter". You have amazing music.
"No Fixed Abode" play songs with a strong measure of Irish in them: plenty of grit and a hint of bitter sweet. This is not twee folk by any means: it's contemporary and has an uncomprimising toughness.

Underpinned by smokey guitars and the devil's own fiddling, the final icing is the original purity of  Una Walshes beautifully poised voice. I'm a fan.

The album Clearwater really blows my audience out. I get great reviews from my listeners on the album and they love it!.  love your album Clearwater and plan to play all eleven tracks because the music fits the format of this station so well. If you could generate a 60 second or less commercial for your album I'll be glad to promote it on air. Just make an mp3 and send it through the email

Hi Una,

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back with you. Yes we did receive your CD and after repeated listening I've decided to add the following tunes to our new music rotation:

 What Did I Do

Kebab Crazed Nutter (This is my favorite!)

The Time Has Come

Thanks so much for the CD, you have a great sound and I hope you do well with this CD! The songs will start playing on Radio Free Phoenix this Saturday.

Thanks again!

Actually, I have played you guys a bit.  I played "Kebab Crazed Nutter" and "The Salty Sea Dog" the first week out, then the former for another week; also played "Nutter" on my Sunday morning show earlier this month.  It will also pop up on the new FM show I'm doing (good chance of it being this Saturday, in fact).

In one line?

Hi
I had the great pleasure to see you perform recently in a tiny upstairs room
in a Pub in Chapeltown with a very dear friend of mine.
You were both superb and took my breath away; you reminded me of Richard and
Linda Thompson when they were young and not fighting.
Being nearly 60 I had the great honour and pleasure of seeing various
members of the Original Fairport Convention playing whilst recovering at the
Royal National Orthopaedic Stanmore after the horrendous crash in the 60's
just for the nurses.
I never thought Thompson would last and earn a living this long; so never
give up; your too good and don't ever forget it.

Good Luck to you both

Hello

Thank you and yes I have gotten the cd. Sorry it took me a bit to get
back to you I have been out of town. It is now on my playlist rotation
and is being streamed. I think the cd is fantastic and thank you so
much for sharing it with Dolphin Radio.

All the best Sincerley Nicole

Hello, I just listened to two of your songs on Marc Gunn’s Song Henge for August 2007.  I liked the music so much I decided to buy your album “Clearwater” on iTunes.  You guys rock!  Thanks.

Jack

Tony and Uma,
Thank you both for a really enjoyable night on Friday at the Chase Folk Club. We are very sorry for the poor turnout and can only say that it was their loss. As usual we enjoyed every minute of each set and took home with us the Fun Folk and Festivals CD, really good.
    Thanks again

Tony, and Una,
I just wanted to thank you for the dedication in Suffolk 'n' Cool 72. I
was listening to it today at work, and was very surprised to hear myself
mentioned.
(I work for the state government, so listening to great podcasts and
great music really helps me make it through the day!)
Yes, *of course* I'm still enjoying the album! How can anyone *not* be
bowled over after they listen to Clearwater? It's simply beautiful.
My thanks for all you do,
